SIMPLE 2D CUT

The movie on the right shows our smallest and least expensive P60S model cutting simple ABC lettering. This type of 2D cut is possible on all MegaPlot hot wire EPS cutters regardless of their series, size, type and configuration. It is used for cutting logos, lettering, architectural mouldings, packaging, etc.

For this type of cut, you need to prepare your drawing in graphics software (e.g. CorelDraw or AutoCad) and export to plt, dxf or EPS/AI.

3D CUT FROM 3D MODEL ON TURNTABLE

This video shows how easy it is to cut a complex 3D model on any MegaPlot hot wire machine equipped with a TurnTable.

You start with a 3D model prepared in one of the two supported formats (RAW from Rhino 3D or dxf 3D e.g. from AutoCad) and our software takes care of the rest.

This feature is extremely easy to use while providing you with full control over the final shape.

3D INDEPENDENT AXIS CUT

This is a 4-axis cut where both ends of the cutting wire move completely independent of each other. Thanks to our unique unlimited wire length change feature and the advanced electric wire tensioning (with a load cell and a motor-controlled spool of wire), there is no limit on the offset of the trolleys.

All you need is a simple two-color drawing (where each color represents one side of your shape) and our iXshaper software takes care of the rest.

The possibilities are endless.

 

COLUMN CUT ON HORIZONTAL LATHE

See how easy it is to produce an interesting column based on a simple 2D drawing consisting of your art line (column side) and a rotary axis.

This cutting mode is available on all MegaPlot hot wire machines equipped with the horizontal Lathe.

SHAPEWIRE CUT ON LATHE

See how replacing the standard straight resistant wire with a custom bent shape wire brings a whole new world of new possibilities.

Both ShapeWire and Lathe can be installed on all MegaPlot hot wire foam cutting machines.

MW MULTIWIRE CUT

A simple 2D cut done on an MW multi-wire MegaPlot hot wire cutter resulting in multiple identical shapes cut at the same time.

Standard MW models can use up to 10 wires at the same time.

Custom HD models with up to 20 wires are also available.

To ensure accurate cuts and great cutting quality, each wire on a multiwire machine comes with its own wire tensioner (pneumatic or spring-based, depending on machine width/model/configuration).

CC 70 ARCH & BASE CUTTER

This is the only MegaPlot hotwire machine not requiring a PC or any software yet it still provides fantastic possibilities.

It is used in two different ways:

- creating arches of any length or geometry,

- creating rotary shapes with pre-bent shape wire.

Both cutting modes are presented on the video on the right.
